When pushing the brake pedal, you only want one thing to move: the brake pads! However there is a lot of flex in other parts of the OEM Miata system; this includes items like the rubber brake lines but also the firewall itself. A master cylinder brace helps reduce this excess movement and convert it back into braking power.
