The slopes of this old formation made up of volcanic\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eand sedimentary rocks have been covered with vineyards, orchards and\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eforests for about 3000 years. So today, it's an almost intact natural\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eenvironment with a super rich ecosystem. Oszkár's best lots have been\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ereplanted with the old native grape varieties such as Kadarka, one of\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eour favorites, and a bunch of other red and white grapes \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003efeatured in this blend.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e“Lud” means Goose in Hungarian and Crazy in Serbian. There’s an old Hungarian expression, “Ha lúd, legyen kövér!” that literally translates to “If it’s a goose, let it be fat.” In other words, if you’re going to go big, go big.  Which is funny, because this wine isn't big at all.  In fact, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eit’s light, crunchy and squarely in the chilled red category, but not in the carbonic or purely whole cluster kind of way.
